He currently serves on the board of the Illinois Society for the Prevention of Blindness.ĭr. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Macular Society and the American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS), and is a Past-President of the Chicago Ophthalmological Society. He was Chair of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) Council, as well as a member of the AAO Board of Trustees. Davis’ research interests include treatment of diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment surgery, ocular infections, and retinal imaging. After residency, he completed a two-year vitreoretinal surgical fellowship with Illinois Retina Associates and Rush University Medical Center, where he trained under nationally and internationally respected clinicians and surgeons.ĭr. During his residency he served as Chief Resident. Davis completed his internship and his ophthalmology residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.
